FairTest's Most Excellent Winter

The SAT mess and the other state testing screwups -- not to speak of the puff piece in the NYT a few weeks ago (Who's Covering The Testing Industry?) -- might just have made this the best winter Bob Schaeffer and FairTest have had in a long time.

Icing on the cake comes this week in the form of a piece from from The New Yorker (Pencils Up! The SAT's Watchdog), making fun of the "tests were wet" excuses from the College Board and a sympathetic narration of the rise and not-quite fall of FairTest.

Even before the testing snafus, things weren't going well for the standards and testing folks. But these mess-ups, and those yet to come, are really doing damage.
