McKeon & Miller Switch For the 110th
Buck McKeon and George Miller are both going to stay on as heads of the House education committee in the next Congress, it seems. Though of course Miller will be the Chairman in the 110th, and McKeon will get a taste of what it's like to be the Ranking Member. He's been on the committee over a decade ago, McKeon wasn't chair long enough to do much notable work.
In a release, McKeon says he's looking forward to working on NCLB reauthorization as well as other Republican priorities like "a fiscally- responsible way to improve our schools, expand access to college, enhance American competitiveness, promote small business, and protect benefits for working families and retirees.”
