Gee, Whiz Charter School Story From The CSM

I'm not fundamentally opposed to charter schools, but I am opposed to bad education reporting, and you can practically hear the oohs and ahhs that accompany the writing of this profile (An education from Russia, with tough love) of an immigrant scientist who starts a math and science charter school outside Boston. Nowhere do you find out if the school is doing any better than kids at the regular public schools in the area, or any different from other charters for that matter. Only in the end do you find out that the school is being sued for poaching kids from outside its service area and creaming the most able.
