Loophole Letter from Congress
It isn't new, it wasn't a secret, but the NCLB "loophole" that was hyped by the education team at the Associated Press starting a couple of weeks ago has resonated enough in the mainstream to done what few news stories do: led to a call for change from 14 House Dems (see letter here).
Of course, letters from Congressmen don't usually amount to much, and this one includes more than a little self-protection. But still, it's interesting to note that the loophole, not necessarily first among many NCLB implementation outrages, has gotten such a strong reaction when others haven't. As I've posted before, it's hard to argue for the loophole, though some seem to insist on trying.
