Kids Not Focus Of Immigration Debate This Time

Most of you have already seen this NYT immigration piece in the Times (Student's Prize Is a Trip Into Immigration Limbo) but maybe not this one in the Post (Setting Out, Alone).

One of the few things that hasn't been said about the immigration debate that's been going on these past few weeks is how different it is from the debates from a decade ago, when the costs of educating illegal immigrant children in K12 education were the focus of many reform proposals.
