It's not so often that you see a pro-NCLB editorial in the papers, but there's one in today's Cincinnatti Enquirer that calls NCLB
flawed, messy, brave and takes on critics of the law who seem to want it both ways: "The very critics who panned No Child for being too harsh and draconian are now bashing the Bush administration for backing off and allowing exceptions." The editorial also takes on the notion that schools are being "punished" by NCLB ratings. "In the long run, those are the things that work for kids and that's all that really matters." Interesting points -- check it out.
