It's an interesting read to see what has happened in different states and some of the reasons why. Cradle to Grave education has some created some interesting anecdotal stories about how schools are applying the idea of preparing for a "global workforce."
A mother called me while back all upset that her son was labeled "credentialied unemployable." No he isn't a college grad with a degree in Art History, but a fifth grader in elementary school! It's ridiculous that any assessment would come to that strong a conclusion at any age, let alone ten years old.
