Some States Balk At Tougher Dropout Data

Pauline Vu over at Stateline updates state efforts towards dropout prevention, including the reluctance of a couple of states -- North and South Dakota -- to adopt a toughter uniform dropout definition (Two states drop out of new dropout plan). According to Vu, 3 states – Hawaii, Illinois and Washington – remain undecided, with 13 are not yet ready to report their grad rates under the new approach.
